Chef Michael is a
Kansas native and KU Business School graduate. After KU, Chef Michael
went to New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, VT. Before opening
Westside Deli & Market in 2001, he worked at the New England Culinary
Institute as a teaching assistant, Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, Dean
& Deluca in Leawood, and as Personal Chef in Lawrence. "Having
a restaurant in downtown Lawrence is a dream come true. I love having the opportunity
to make a contribution to our community, both financially and socially.
If it weren't for the NewHampshire St. Bistro, I never would have met
so many truly wonderful people."
